Skin Cycling

A strategic, four-night rotational framework designed to yield the benefits of potent actives while actively preventing barrier compromise.

The Four-Night Protocol

Night 1: Exfoliation

Goal: Remove dead keratinocytes to enhance penetration of subsequent treatments.

Action: Cleanse, apply AHA/BHA chemical exfoliant, moisturize.

Night 2: Retinoid

Goal: Stimulate collagen synthesis and cellular turnover.

Action: Cleanse, apply retinoid (pea-sized amount), moisturize.

Night 3: Recovery

Goal: Focus entirely on barrier repair and hydration.

Action: Cleanse, apply hydrating serums (Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin), apply barrier-repair moisturizer.

Night 4: Recovery

Goal: Continued barrier repair. Slugging (applying an occlusive ointment like petrolatum over moisturizer) is optional for dry skin.

Action: Cleanse, hydrate, moisturize, occlude.

After Night 4, return to Night 1. As the skin builds tolerance over several months, advanced users may drop one recovery night for a three-night cycle.
